1750 W 64th St. Indianapolis, IN 46260
A bold new vision for arts, culture, and community is taking shape on Indianapolis’ northwest side — and the public is invited to be part of it from the very beginning.
This will be a welcoming, open-house style event — a chance to meet the founders, see the vision for the space, and join the conversation. Visitors may arrive and depart at any time between 2 and 4 p.m.
The event will feature:
- Short presentations every 20 minutes on the campus vision, arts programming, and community partnership opportunities
- Music, dance, and visual art exhibits by students and local artists
- A final presentation at 3:00 p.m., plus site plan and architectural renderings on display
- Newsletter sign-ups, volunteer interest forms, and donation opportunities to help make it happen
Connect, Build, Have Fun!
Crooked Creek Cultural Campus will transform an 8-acre site at 62nd Street and Michigan Road into a vibrant cultural destination — featuring a 200-seat theater, outdoor amphitheater, and dedicated spaces for visual arts, dance, and music education. Designed to serve students, professional artists, and community members of all ages and backgrounds, the campus will be a place where creativity thrives, and everyone belongs.
Come See It. Ask Questions. Help Shape the Future.
Future Location
The Campus will be conveniently located on an 8 acre site located at 2602 W. 62nd Street and 6250 Michigan Road, Indianapolis, IN. This site will further focus community cultural amenities in the area with the adjacent Michigan Road Public Library, The Children's House Montessori school (TCH), and St. John's Church Eritrean Orthodox Church.
THE VISION
It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to a new neighborhood facility focusing on the arts that the community is working to complete in 2027. The new facility will feature an art gallery to promote emerging visual artists as well as an indoor multi-use theater to accommodate diverse programs for local performing artists. There will also be a small outdoor venue for summer productions and concerts. Multigenerational movie nights will be offered outdoors in the summer and indoors in the winter.
The venue will be a great resource for adult and teen community theater groups and will enhance opportunities to mentor aspiring creative children age 7 and above. Activities such as supervised music, dance contests and band competitions will inspire Crooked Creek youth and adults to express their talents in a fully-functional performance venue.
Additionally, poetry readings, art exhibitions and movie nights will engage parents, seniors and entire families. Both small and large groups may have access to the facility for group meetings, special events and forums. Food can be enjoyed from our convenient caterers’ kitchen designed to ease transport and meal preparation by local caterers and guests.
Providing positive activities, such as financial literacy programs and alternatives for young people — we envision having a comic book artist work with the area’s children and teens to develop their own comic books with their own storylines and characters. Collaborations with various local organizations will provide programs such as environmental science involving our Environmental Pond and tree identification programs.
Staff will schedule the facility for all users and will welcome rental use for business functions and other appropriate events. The environmentally-friendly and ADA accessible building and grounds envision arts programs that will engage our creative community in a safe and welcoming setting, promoting health-oriented programs for all ages and capabilities – an experience that says to our community: “We all belong here.”
