THE VISION

It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to a new neighborhood facility focusing on the arts that the community is working to complete in 2026. The new facility will feature an art gallery to promote emerging visual artists as well as an indoor multi-use theater to accommodate diverse programs for local performing artists. There will also be a small outdoor venue for summer productions and concerts. Multigenerational movie nights will be offered outdoors in the summer and indoors in the winter.

The venue will be a great resource for adult and teen community theater groups and will enhance opportunities to mentor aspiring creative children age 7 and above. Activities such as supervised music, dance contests and band competitions will inspire Crooked Creek youth and adults to express their talents in a fully-functional performance venue.

Additionally, poetry readings, art exhibitions and movie nights will engage parents, seniors and entire families. Both small and large groups may have access to the facility for group meetings, special events and forums. Food can be enjoyed from our convenient caterers’ kitchen designed to ease transport and meal preparation by local caterers and guests.

Providing positive activities, such as financial literacy programs and alternatives for young people — we envision having a comic book artist work with the area’s children and teens to develop their own comic books with their own storylines and characters. Collaborations with various local organizations, such as Glick Neighborhood Center and Indy Parks, will provide programs such as environmental science involving our Environmental Pond and tree identification programs.

Staff will schedule the facility for all users and will welcome rental use for business functions and other appropriate events. The environmentally-friendly and ADA accessible building and grounds envision arts programs that will engage our creative community in a safe and welcoming setting, promoting health-oriented programs for all ages and capabilities – an experience that says to our community: “We all belong here.”
